Planetarium Expeditions is a passion project started by Annette Lendal and Julian Krauss with the aim to work through collective illusions and craft new strategies towards societal regeneration.

 What we do

  • The aim of our work is to take a step back and deconstruct the prevailing images of society in order to re-imagine alternatives.

  • Through ethnographic fieldwork, visual methods, prototypes, and creative writing, we delve into the mysteries and chaos of our existence.

  • As we are guided by our intuition, the results of our work often have an artistic character - with the aim to challenge deeply entrenched assumptions, and to point at alternative pathways for the future.

Annette Lendal

I was born on the coast in Northern Denmark, with sailing as the most defining element of my childhood. I love my dog Ruth, adventurous adventures, gardening slow flowers, and being part of community projects around Munich.

Professionally, I have nerded deep on circular economy and systems thinking. After studying political science and economics, I have worked for renowned strategy consultancies and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. I help start-ups and organisations redefine their impact and way of doing business, I serve as an expert advisor to the Earth Shot prize, I teach systems thinking, and I love giving keynotes and debating what is progress, how to shift the economy and the wisdom of the more-than-human.

Julian Krauss

Growing up in the Black Forest in Germany set the tone for a life defined by mountaineering and exploration. As much as I can, I test the limits of my body by climbing, ski touring or working with the waves on the river in Munich or in the Ocean. Music also runs in my veins - from church trumpet to sound experiments with my mic.

I have a deep nerdiness for fundamental questions of life, and I like to offer guidance to others drawing on my experience with psychodynamics. In recent years, I have been able to support high-ranking executives on strategic design and innovation issues, immersing myself deeply in the pathfinding process of organisations. Besides, I have been teaching critical futures design and creativity at the Technical University of Munich since 2022.
